It offers researchers, business representatives and young professionals the opportunity to learn about the state of current research and business practice and to exchange ideas.

In 2025, the conference will celebrate its 20th edition at the University of Münster—the site of the first conference in 1993. The headquarters of the European Research Center for Information Systems (ERCIS) connects the conference with an international audience.
